Army Destroys Seven Illegal Refineries, Arrests Four in Niger Delta Crackdown

Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Division have destroyed seven illegal crude oil refining sites across Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Delta States, arresting four suspects. The operations, conducted between 10 and 23 November 2025, led to the recovery of over 109,000 litres of stolen crude and illegally refined AGO worth more than ₦150 million. The Army says the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to curb oil theft in the Niger Delta.
