Edna Imade Rejects Nigeria for Spain

Bayern Munich loanee, of Nigerian and Moroccan Descent, Edna Imade, will no longer play for Nigeria or Morocco as she has switched allegiance to Spain. Imade made a competitive debut for Spain in the first leg of the UEFA Women’s Nations League final on Friday. The Nigeria Football Federation had tried to convince the striker to wear the colours of Nigeria. Spain coach Sonia Bermúdez handed the forward a maiden call-up for the two-legged Nations League final against Germany.
