Lagos State Government Announces Repairs and Partial Closure of Lekki-Ajah Expressway

The Lagos State Government has announced that sections of the Lekki–Ajah corridor will be partially closed for eight months to allow for major rehabilitation and improvement works aimed at easing traffic flow in the area.
The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, saying the project will run from Saturday, November 15, 2025, to Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
According to him, the rehabilitation project, which has already commenced with preliminary works, will be carried out in two phases to reduce traffic disruption during the period.
