Nigeria’s inflation fell for the seventh straight month to 16.05% in October, but economists say the decline has not eased living costs.
CPPE’s Muda Yusuf noted that essential sectors—food, transport, housing, and utilities—remain expensive due to structural problems like high logistics costs, energy shortages, and insecurity.
He said households feel no real relief despite the softer inflation.
Former CIBN President Okechukwu also dismissed the NBS inflation figures as flawed.
